A globally recognized manufacturer is expanding in Wisbech and is seeking a Welder Fabricator to service and repair trailers and tanks. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication, with strong TIG skills preferred. Overview

My client is a globally recognized manufacturer of commercial vehicles, with operations worldwide. Following acquisition and reinvestment into their UK-based operation, they are expanding quickly to deliver on existing sales commitments and to attract new business. Jaxdene Solutions has been exclusively engaged to support this growth. Based in a purpose-built site in North Cambridgeshire, they are rebuilding their Service and Repair function and establishing a New Product Assembly facility, and they require a Welder Fabricator to join their experienced team.

Responsibilities
  • Service and repair trailers, tanks and associated systems.
  • Fabricate parts for upgrades and retrofits where required.
  • Work unsupervised on a wide range of problems using knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Contribute to the growth of the business and support the new product assembly and service initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Typically 3–5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Qualified to at least NVQ or Apprenticeship level in Welding or Fabrication.
  • Broad background in fabrication, welding and fitting techniques.
  • Ability to work unsupervised on a wide range of problems.
  • Strong TIG aluminium skills are desirable; knowledge of commercial vehicles is not essential.
  • Weld test will be undertaken as part of the interview process.
