Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair on trailers, trucks, and skips.
  • Conduct welding using MIG, TIG & ARC to high standards.
  • Produce and interpret technical drawings.
  • Undertake fabrication duties for various items.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Produce RAMS for all works undertaken.
  • Refurbish wear material on shredders.
  • Complete adhoc requests.

Job description
Here at the Mick George Group we are currently recruiting for a Welder to join the team.

Location: Ellington
Working Hours: Monday - Friday between 6am – 6pm, Saturdays are as required. Overtime available
Pay: To be discussed, dependent on experience.

About the Role
Duties will include the maintenance and repair to our extensive fleet of trailers, trucks and skips to minimise operational downtime.
This is a very busy Workshop that carries out a variety of tasks including Vehicle Refurbishment, Accident Repairs and Rigid Bodywork. Some mobile based welding may be required.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance work through various methods of welding such as MIG, TIG & ARC and to ensure work is of a high quality at all times.
  • Produce and interpret technical drawings.
  • Undertake fabrication duties to produce various required items such as catwalks, steps, skips and buckets.
  • Adhere to Company and legislative H&S procedures at all times.
  • Production of RAMS for all works undertaken.
  • Refurbishment of wear material on shredders.
  • Complete any adhoc requests.
