Responsibilities

• Cover contracts for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
• Conduct disinfection of mains water systems.
• Monitor air and water systems for compliance.

• Install and maintain dosing systems.
• Provide accurate reporting and maintain paperwork.

Job description

Our client is a well-established and successful water treatment/water hygiene company, who due to recent contract wins are currently looking for an experienced and competent Water Treatment Engineer / Remedial Engineer to join their busy workforce based in and around the Edinburgh area. Candidates will hold extensive and varied experience of water treatment and remedial works. Holding the NVQ Level 2 / 3 in plumbing would be beneficial to the role. Applications from Glasgow, Dundee, Paisley, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Good chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.
• Experience working as a water hygiene engineer.
• Plumbing experience would be advantageous and level 2 / 3 plumbing qualification preferable.
• Good working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office package.
• Excellent communication skills.

Role

• Cover a variety of contracts including residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
• Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans, descales and remedial work.
• Monitoring client’s air and water systems ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
• Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
• Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
• Installation & maintenance of dosing systems.
• Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
• Maintaining a good working relationship with clients.
