Profile

Highly successful Water Treatment/Water Hygiene business with a stronghold across the South and Midlands; renowned for providing a high level of service to clients, including blue‑chip companies. Due to consistent growth, we are now looking to take on a tenacious Water treatment Business Development / Sales manager based in and around the Reading area. The ideal candidate will hold extensive experience working within the water treatment industry, with an excellent foundation of technical knowledge alongside strong sales skills, selling either clean water equipment or water treatment services to heavy industry and manufacturing clients. In return we can offer a company vehicle, commission scheme and annual bonuses based on company profits.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Strong sales, business development, management, technical and engineering background.
  • Experience working for a Water Treatment Equipment or an established Water Treatment player is essential.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing business for water treatment services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
The Role
  • Managing a portfolio of existing clients; upselling remaining services and introducing clients to new equipment/products.
  • Actively selling clean water equipment to include Water Softeners, RO Systems, UV Filtration and CO₂ units.
  • Sales of chemical dosing equipment for Water Treatment systems such as Cooling Towers and Steam Boilers.
  • Promoting the company’s sales and developing the commercial and financial side of the business.
  • Networking with prospective clients, cold calling where required and actively sourcing new business.
  • Working to agreed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Promoting the company’s water treatment services to new and existing clients.
  • Monitoring and developing the company’s budget.
  • Providing clients with tenders and quotations.
  • Maintaining an up‑to‑date internal database.
  • Attending regular finance and client meetings, providing updates and forecasting.
  • Assisting in training sales staff in line with company requirements.
