Water Hygiene Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Water Hygiene Technician to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will:

• Travel to customer sites to ensure water systems meet safety and compliance standards.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels, including leading tank chlorinations.
• Install and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
• Conduct routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2, including flushing outlets, temperature monitoring, descaling showerheads, and flushing pressure vessels.
• Perform sampling for closed water systems.
• Use the SimPRO system to manage your workload efficiently.
• Identify potential issues and proactively provide solutions.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274 to uphold our professional and compliant reputation.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

• A full, clean UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent qualifications, or relevant industry experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and professionalism.

Day-to-Day

Your day will be varied and engaging, involving:

• Visiting different customer sites to carry out inspections and maintenance.
• Ensuring water systems are safe and compliant through routine monitoring and cleaning tasks.
• Collaborating with a supportive team and using cutting‑edge technology to manage your tasks.
• Building strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service.
