Job Description

Our client is an established and professional water hygiene / water treatment company, who deliver specialised legionella and water treatment service to a portfolio of long‑standing clients across the South East. They are currently recruiting for a self‑motivated and driven Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the South London area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water hygiene background and will be experienced in carrying out routine duties such as water sampling, temperature monitoring and tank cleans. Experience with closed systems is desirable for this role. Consideration will be given to applications from Dartford, Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Crawley and surrounding areas with good access to the M25 / South London area.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Applicants must come from a good chemical and water treatment background.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Experience working in this role within the water treatment industry.
  • BSRIA experience would be beneficial.
Key Role
  • Monitoring and carrying out temperature checks and inspection of hot and cold water tanks, etc.
  • Conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems including storage tanks, calorifiers and cooling towers.
  • Descaling, disinfection and flushing of shower heads.
  • Dealing with TMV’s.
  • Maintenance of paperwork regarding works carried out.
  • Building and maintaining a good working relationship with clients.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as required.

In general, the post‑holder will possess a good work ethic and have a positive attitude. Must be able to pass high security clearance.
