Our client a well-established and successful water treatment/water hygiene company is currently seeking an enthusiastic and competent Water Hygiene Engineer in and around the Sheffield area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water hygiene background with experience carrying out a range of duties including cleaning and disinfections, tanks cleans and water sampling. Applications from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • The applicant must come from a good chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.
  • Previous experience working as a water hygiene engineer.
  • Plumbing experience would be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office package.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Duties within the role:
  • Covering various contracts including residential, commercial and industrial properties.
  • Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans, descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.
  • Monitoring client’s air and water systems ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
  • Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
  • Installation & maintenance of dosing systems.
  • Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
