Are you an experienced wastewater specialist looking to take the lead in treatment operations? We're seeking a skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our aerobic and anaerobic treatment facilities, including advanced systems such as Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) and Reverse Osmosis (RO).
Lead day-to-day operation of aerobic and anaerobic plants, ensuring optimal performance.
Maintain full compliance with EA discharge permits and relevant environmental legislation.
Monitor and report on effluent quality, plant efficiency, and system reliability.
Develop and deliver preventative maintenance programmes for all assets, including CHP engines.
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime.
Manage spare parts stock levels and supplier contracts.
Lead or support plant upgrades, capacity increases, and technology enhancements.
Identify and implement process optimisation and cost‑saving initiatives.
Prepare business cases and technical specifications for new equipment or systems.
Maintain accurate and auditable records to meet regulatory and internal standards.
Collaborate with the Environment Agency and other key stakeholders.
Implement effective risk management processes.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a small team of operators and technicians.
Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Deliver training and support competency development.
Achieve and maintain WAMITAB accreditation.
Contribute to waste reduction and resource recovery initiatives.
