Overview

We are recruiting Waste Management Operatives ahead of the implementation of a new Food Waste service commencing February next year.

Responsibilities
  • Collect food waste in new Food Waste Collection vehicles.
  • Collect other waste streams (Refuse, Dry Recycling, Garden waste) as part of the wider service.
  • Initially distribute food waste containers to residents prior to collections.
  • Physically fit – able to walk long distances daily and move wheeled bins, containers or sacks.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service and be courteous to members of the public.

  • Committed individual looking to make a difference to high‑profile council services.
  • Ability to walk long distances and move heavy waste receptacles.
  • Category B licence currently? advantageous for HGV training (category C). Training fully funded, supported.
