Responsibilities

  • Support the Night Shift Supervisor and lead the team in their absence.
  • Work alongside the warehouse team, leading by example and coaching.
  • Conduct training for new starters on health and safety.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
  • Work towards reducing damage levels in operations.
  • Delegate driver workload and process paperwork as required.
  • Support with driver packs for outgoing shifts.
  • Assist with fleet management to ensure roadworthiness.

Job description

Our Night Shift Team Leaders work closely with the Night Shift Supervisor and the Warehouse team to ensure that the night operation runs effectively and that the team achieves the objectives and KPIs set by the business. They provide support to ensure our appliances are handled with care and vehicles are unloaded and loaded on time, both efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Night Shift Supervisor and lead the team in their absence
  • Work alongside the warehouse team, leading by example and coaching the team
  • Conduct training for new starters, covering Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety
  • Promote a safe working environment, ensuring the team always adheres to Health and Safety procedures
  • Continually work toward reducing damage levels
  • Delegate driver workload and allocate tasks to the team, processing paperwork as required
  • Support with driver packs for the outgoing shift
  • Assist with fleet management, ensuring all vehicles remain roadworthy and meet transport legislation
Qualifications & Skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
  • Skill in building good relationships with people, even when under pressure
  • Decision‑making ability in the absence of the Night Shift Supervisor to drive performance and service
  • Rapid response to information and independent problem‑solving
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
