Job summary

Job description

Our client based in Bedford are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader on a late shift.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Warehouse Operatives
  • Assign and monitor daily tasks to ensure timely and accurate order picking
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the picking process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet operational demands
  • Ensure all picked orders meet quality standards and customer requirements
  • Conduct random checks on picked orders to verify accuracy
  • Address any discrepancies or errors promptly
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the picking team
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to share best practices and drive overall warehouse performance
  • As a key holder you will participate in an on‑call rota with other Managers/Supervisors for any security issues/breaches out of hours and will be required to comply with security requirements when opening and locking the site
