Job description
Overview

The Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing oversite and maintenance and service for all branch, equipment, and vehicles. This position mixes and fills pesticides and fertilizers.

Primary Responsibilities

Document and coordinates with Facilities Supervisor for vehicle maintenance. Vehicle Maintenance includes:

  • General vehicle repairs
  • Larger repair issues
  • Tires
  • Check pressure monthly
  • Replace as needed
Other Responsibilities
  • Participates in the new hire process for technicians.
  • Document and perform maintenance on all equipment and trailers
  • Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
  • Perform all pesticide and fertilization filling. Maintain appropriate documentation
  • Maintain inventories of all vehicles, equipment, product, and parts.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of warehouse
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee all operations of warehouse maintenance department
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of warehouse staff
  • Provide training to key personnel in the repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Manage performance and develop warehouse staff
  • Issue equipment and inspect periodically. Maintain log of inspections. Report abuse
  • Building maintenance and cleanliness
  • Record and maintain monthly product and parts inventory
  • Record and maintain monthly vehicle mileage
  • First response to facility alarms and emergencies
  • Snow removal
Required Qualifications / Attributes
  • OSHA Certified (Preferred)
  • Must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license
  • Driving record must pass insurability test
  • Must obtain VDACS registered technician license within 30 days of employment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as team lead or supervisor
  • 3-5 years small engine and pump repair experience
  • 2 years related experience
Minimum Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. with bending and twisting
  • Repetitive use of hands
