Overview

Warehouse Operative - Stock Controller at Stead House Distribution Centre, Darlington. Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 10pm–6am. Total hours per week: 40.

The Stock Control Warehouse Operative is responsible for maintaining inventory management by checking, counting and investigating stock, moving stock between warehouses and with external suppliers. This role reports to the Operations Team Leader for Stead House Distribution Centre.

Responsibilities
  • Counting stock
  • Slot maintenance
  • Producing reports using Excel
  • Working closely with internal and external departments
  • Stock control functions
  • Picking and handling pallets of stock
  • Investigating issues and communicating findings back to other company departments
What you’ll need / Qualifications
  • PC literate
  • Flexible approach to performing other duties within the warehouse as requested by your Line Manager
  • High level of numeracy
  • Excellent time and attendance record
  • Good teamwork skills, and the ability to work on your own
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy with keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Health and safety awareness in the warehouse, adopting the ASW values: Always Safe at work; think smart, think safe
