Overview

Warehouse Operative - FLT
Stead House Distribution Centre, Darlington

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm. Total Hours Per Week: 40.

Role purpose

The Reach Forklift Operative is responsible for operating a forklift truck to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other roles within the warehouse. You will need to be customer focused where you will maintain optimum levels of stock in both storage and pick slots working to set KPI standards. The role will report to the Operations Team Leader for Stead House Distribution Centre.

Responsibilities

• Store stock from Goods In.
• Replenish stock via stock allocation system.
• Take waste to the baler.
• Assist with stock taking.
• Work with required KPI standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
• Stay aware of possible hazards.
• Harness training will be provided to allow the operator to work at height to complete stock takes and to help when a driver has a pallet out.

• Knowledge of the safety procedures regarding the use of Reach forklift trucks.
