What You'll Do
- Prepare hire items for dispatch by checking their condition, cleanliness, and functionality.
- Fit necessary accessories and components to main units according to job or customer specifications.
- Assemble part‑build kits when required — verifying all components are included and properly secured.
- Pick and pack hire orders accurately, based on dispatch notes or system‑generated lists.
- Perform quality checks on all outgoing items to ensure they meet safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
- Work closely with the hire desk, drivers, and other warehouse colleagues to coordinate timely and accurate dispatch.
- Label equipment and complete all required paperwork or system entries.
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe working area at all times.
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks such as goods‑in, stock rotation, and other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is essential.
- Supervisory or team‑lead experience is a plus (but not required).
- Forklift truck licence is advantageous — though full training will be provided.
- Experience or qualification in warehouse operations, supply‑chain, or logistics (e.g. IOSCM) is welcome but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills — able to liaise with other departments and colleagues via email, calls or Teams.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet dispatch deadlines.
- A strong eye for detail, high standards of accuracy, and a commitment to safety.
What We Offer
- Overnight allowance and overtime opportunities.
- Bonus scheme (shared growth + individual KPI‑based).
- 23 days' annual leave (increasing with length of service) + bank holidays.
- Annual remuneration review.
- Pension scheme (auto‑enrolment).
- Private healthcare provided after successful probation.
- Comprehensive training and opportunities for career progression.
- Employee Assistance Programme (support line).
- Two volunteering days per year.
- Free Friday lunch.
A performance‑oriented business where you can make a real impact from day one.
