Warehouse Operative – Rochester

Salary: £24,500 per annum.

Shifts: 4 on 4 off – Days 6am‑6pm or Nights 6pm‑6am.

Permanent position.

Are you an experienced warehouse professional ready to join a fast‑paced and well‑organised logistics team?

Our client, a well‑established and growing company based in Rochester, is looking for skilled Warehouse Operatives to help support their busy operation and maintain an efficient warehouse workflow.

Key responsibilities
  • Accurately pick customer orders and prepare for dispatch.
  • Unload incoming goods and safely rack items into storage.
  • Load and unload lorries in line with delivery schedules.
  • Pick materials and ingredients for production activities.
  • Return completed pallets from production back to storage.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assist other departments and team members as required.
  • Complete general warehouse duties and ad‑hoc tasks.
What we're looking for
  • Valid Counterbalance and High Reach Forklift licences – the client is willing to train you on the other if you only hold one.
  • Strong recent experience using FLTs in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with IT‑based stock control systems.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, time‑sensitive environment.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of accurate stock control.
