Overview

Manpower is recruiting for Temporary Warehouse Operatives to work with our client in Melrose, Scottish Borders.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00

Rate of Pay: £12.75 Per Hour - Weekly Pay!

Responsibilities

• Provide support to all activities within the warehouse including pick, pack, despatch and put away.
• Ensure all orders are picked for delivery quickly and efficiently and all stock is stored securely.
• Handle garments and products carefully and appropriately.
• Pick, pack and despatch orders with consistent accuracy.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Check deliveries, report any discrepancies, perform quality control to the spec sheets, and put away in the correct location in the warehouse.
• Provide administrative support when required, including receiving stock on the correct purchase order on the system and preparing packing lists and commercial invoices.
• Ensure the warehouse is safe, tidy, and easily navigable.
• Work to health and safety standards and meet company warehouse standards and procedures.

Experience & Skills

Desirable

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment and shipping.
• Attention to detail and understanding of product quality.
• Knowledge of textile industry and garments would be beneficial.

Skills

• Able to meet the physical demands of the role.
• Good all-round communication skills.
