Job summary

A leading warehousing solutions provider in Lutterworth is seeking individuals for various roles requiring adherence to health and safety standards, order picking, and basic warehouse tasks. Candidates should possess basic English and Maths skills and preferably have experience with warehouse management systems. This role involves lifting and walking throughout the warehouse. Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate in basic English and Maths, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with a warehouse management system is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all health and safety standards are followed.
  • Tipping trailers and lifting cartons.
  • Booking deliveries using handheld scanners.
  • Putting away products into allocated locations.
  • Carrying out picking tasks according to customer requirements.
  • Scanning, packing, and labeling orders for dispatch.
  • Completing rework requirements as stipulated.
  • Logging activities accurately and updating time sheets.

Job description

Monday - Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 or 14:00-22:00(37.5 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all health and safety standards are followed and adhered to

Tipping of trailers that will contain cartons of products ordered by our customers. This will require some form of lifting and building of pallets.

Booking deliveries in once received using handheld scanners. This work is usually completed on a loading bay dock.

Putting away the products that have entered the warehouse into allocated locations. This will require some form of lifting and walking around the warehouse (training will be provided if required to operate machineries).

Carrying out picking tasks according to customer requirements. This will require some form of lifting and walking around the warehouse and will need to be completed within agreed timescales.

Scanning, packing and labelling of orders that need to be dispatched to customers. This will usually take place at a packing station which will require standing.

Completing rework requirements that are stipulated by the customer. This will usually take place at a workstation which will require standing.

Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard completed in timely manner to able next stage to be carried out.

Ensure all consumables and equipment are treated with care and returned to the correct place after use.

Undertake other responsible tasks that may be required from time to time as directed by the needs of the business and/or your Line Manager

Ensure that each activity is logged accurately.

Ensure that time sheets or equivalent system are updated throughout the shift.

Ensure that you are working to the customer requirements, relevant SOPS and achieving the business KPI’s.

What You Bring:

Knowledge & Skills

Basic level of English and Maths required for the role, both written and spoken with good communication skills.

Preferably experience and understanding of a warehouse management system will be of an advantage

GSCE Maths & English grade B or above or equivalent
