Job description
Warehouse Operative (Dartford)

Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client's distribution centre that deals with Ikea furniture products. Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives in Dartford.

Pay and Hours

Role: full‑time, 5 days out of 7 on a seven‑week rolling rota (including weekends). Hours of work:

  • 6am to 2pm
  • 2pm to 10pm

Pay rates:

  • Mornings: £ per hour, overtime £ per hour
  • Afternoons: £ per hour, overtime £ per hour

All staff are taken on a perm contract after 12 weeks if suitable.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest quality standards by handling all stock carefully to ensure it reaches our customers in perfect condition.
  • Accurately and efficiently pick stock.
  • Operate Mechanical Equipment (LLOP).
  • Perform various tasks to support operational efficiency, including maintaining general housekeeping and hygiene standards within the warehouse and site.
  • Read and understand instructions clearly.
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Good level of physical fitness; able to lift items weighing up to 25kg.
  • Reliable, self‑motivated, and a strong team player with a flexible approach to work.
  • Hand‑eye and foot coordination for the safe and effective use of mechanical handling equipment.
  • Experience in a similar role desirable but not essential; full training provided.
