Responsibilities

  • Assemble, check, scan, and load pallets for deliveries.
  • Book transport for customer orders and prepare delivery paperwork.
  • Coordinate drivers, vehicles, and loads efficiently.
  • Conduct daily warehouse inspections for compliance.
  • Inspect equipment and tools to maintain operational standards.
  • Relocate pallets from packing areas to the warehouse.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate with the planning team.
  • Manage relationships with service providers.
  • Ensure quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.
  • Load and unload orders using appropriate trucks.
  • Print labels for market orders when required.
  • Perform additional duties to support the team.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Canterbury, Kent – Will need to drive due to location.
Hours: Working between 7:00am and 7:00pm – 50-55 hours a week.
Salary: £13.41 per hour.
Days off: Sunday and Monday.

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Warehouse Operative to join our client’s operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is confident coordinating warehouse activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The successful candidate will also be expected to deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, check, scan, and load pallets for customer deliveries
  • Book transport for customer orders and prepare all associated delivery paperwork
  • Coordinate drivers, vehicles, and loads, ensuring cost‑effective and timely solutions
  • Carry out daily warehouse inspections, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Inspect equipment and tools to maintain high operational standards
  • Relocate pallets from packing areas to the warehouse
  • Monitor stock levels of packed products and communicate with the Packhouse Planning team regarding orders and stock
  • Manage relationships with service providers
  • Ensure quality objectives and delivery deadlines are consistently met
  • Load and unload local orders and packaging using the appropriate trucks
  • Print labels for market orders when required
  • Perform additional duties as requested to support the wider team
