Overview

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.


Warehouse Operative Details


  • Shifts: Days Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm & Friday & 7am to 2.30pm

  • Total: 39 hours per week paid weekly

  • Start date: Monday 15th September 2025 - do not apply if you are not available from this date or if you have any holidays in the next 12 weeks as this is the crucial training period

  • Pay Rate: £12.60 to £12.92 per hour

  • Contract: Temporary to Permanent

  • Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72


Warehouse Operative Duties


  • Picking panels ready to be assembled

  • Loading and unloading trolleys with wooden panels and spares

  • Quality checking of materials being picked

  • Loading assembly lines with parts and components

  • Using hand scanners

  • Working with wood

  • Following instructions

  • Working on your own and as part of a team

  • Minimum daily requirements (picking targets)


Warehouse Operative Criteria


  • Previous picking experience - Advantageous but not essential

  • Hard working, reliable and punctual

  • Experience of operating hand scanners ideal but no essential

  • Experience in warehousing

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to follow instructions

  • Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills


Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires most of the shift being on your feet and lots of walking as part of the day to day duties.
