Job summary

A family-run SME company in Alton is seeking a full-time Warehouse Operative to join its team. The role involves picking, packing, and dispatching goods while supporting various operations like manufacturing and replenishment. Successful candidates should have basic IT skills, a reliable work ethic, and attention to detail. A forklift license is a plus. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm, with a competitive salary of £30,000 a year. Desired start is in January 2026.

Qualifications

  • Basic IT skills including MS Outlook or similar programs.
  • Forklift License is preferred (training available).
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Approachable, honest, and a positive team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organized and tidy in working practices.
  • Physically capable of manual handling.
  • WMS experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack & dispatch orders using the Handheld terminal and WMS system.
  • Count and confirm inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
  • Support and assist colleagues to achieve company goals.
  • Assist with receiving & checking incoming deliveries.
  • Assist with banding and packing assembly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
