Requirements
  • Previous experience managing a warehouse or production environment (ideally within food, building supplies or FMCG manufacturing environments).
  • Valid FLT licence and proven operating experience.
  • Strong organisational and stock-control skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe working practices.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and not be afraid of the challenge to get there
Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely and on time.
  • Oversee packing of finished products to meet quality and customer standards.
  • Conduct daily warehouse checks on cleanliness, equipment and safety compliance
  • Manage stock control: maintain accurate records, monitor levels, run regular counts and report discrepancies.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of deliveries, using forklift trucks (FLT) when needed.
  • Work closely with production, raw-materials and logistics teams to guarantee smooth workflow and timely dispatch.
  • Champion health, safety and hygiene policies.
  • Coach, support and train warehouse operatives to improve skills, efficiency and teamwork.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
