• Experience of working in a complex, fast-moving logistics/warehouse environment, ideally within eCommerce.
• The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst effectively leading a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of the end-to-end warehouse processes, health and safety, and IOSH is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets.
• Monitor team absence and performance, taking action where necessary.
• Work alongside the site quality team to ensure metrics (KPI) are managed in line with the site SLA's.
• Manage your team's DCPM effectively to meet site requirements.

We are looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join one of our biggest online fashion retailers' sites in Barnsley. You lead a team of people and coordinate activities to achieve business goals through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.

This is a full-time, permanent position.You'll be working Friday to Tuesday, covering the hours of 14:45 till 23:15.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets and ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met
• Monitor team absence and performance, taking action where necessary
• Work alongside the site quality team to ensure metrics (KPI) and team are managed in line with the site SLA's
• Manage your team's DCPM effectively to meet or exceed site requirements, and providing weekly DCPM reports to line manager
