Job description
Overview

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Controller for one of our clients based in the Glasgow (Kinning Park) area. This is a permanent position with an immediate start available after successful interview.

Working Days/Hours
  • Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm (35 hours per week)
Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, DOE

Duties
  • Control goods inward and perform physical quality and quantity checks
  • Update inventory records
  • Picking/packing/scanning of products
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift
  • Record any damages or discrepancies of deliveries received and report these to the Supply Chain Team
  • Ensure accurate document control by scanning the necessary documents
  • Assist Line Manager in developing warehouse operations through ongoing review
  • Operate the tag making machine as required
  • Review and report stock holding for clients
  • Build relationships with key supplier and courier contacts
  • Manage the upkeep of company infrastructure and facilities
  • Carry out health and safety checks, including fire alarm tests
  • Comply with health and safety regulations
  • Contribute to a positive health and safety culture, good environmental management, and quality standards
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean and organised condition
Experience / Qualifications
  • Warehousing/stock control background
  • Experience in an engineering warehouse environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of supply chain, logistics and procurement operations is beneficial
  • Health and safety awareness within a warehouse environment
Skills And Attributes
