Overview

Warehouse Assistant | Cambridge | Full Time | £26,100, plus performance-related bonus

Our client, established in 1985, has grown into a market-leading brand management and distribution business focused on premium brands within the small domestic appliance, air treatment, and floorcare categories. They are recruiting a Warehouse Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis and help fulfil the company’s promises to its customers.

The Warehouse Assistant will support the Warehouse team in maintaining the smooth running of operations and ensuring customer demands are met efficiently and effectively. The role involves lifting significant quantities of stock, standing or walking for most of the shift, and wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities
  • Moving merchandise from one place to another using manual pallet trucks
  • Unloading and loading vehicles
  • Compliance with relevant Health and Safety standards
  • Picking and packing goods to a high level of accuracy whilst maintaining our high standards
  • Performing accurate goods in checks and put away
  • Labelling packaging, products, unpacking and also repacking goods, without damage
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by performing general housekeeping where necessary
Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
  • Good time keeping and organisational skills
  • A capable mindset, being able to carry out high-intensity teamwork
  • Accurate counting abilities and a clear capability of checking different dates and lines on incoming and outgoing products
  • The ability to follow clear instructions
  • A motivated and hard-working attitude
  • The ability to work in a warehouse environment, either on your own or as part of a larger team
