Location: The Princess Grace Hospital, London. Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Shift times: Monday – Friday. Permanent contract. Salary: Competitive dependent on experience.
We’re looking for a Ward/Department Manager to join the Orthopaedics ward at The Princess Grace Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. The Ward Manager for the Orthopaedics department plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient experiences and delivering exceptional clinical and professional leadership to the team. This position provides mentorship and support to junior staff, serving as both a clinical expert and role model. The CNM ensures that the highest standards of care are maintained through rigorous monitoring of both personal and team clinical competence. This role also involves responsibility for fostering development initiatives, implementing evidence‑based practices, and delivering a quality service to patients, their families, and other stakeholders. The Ward Manager is responsible for managing daily operations within the Orthopaedics ward, adhering to budgetary guidelines, and meeting workforce planning objectives. The role requires active promotion of the unit within Princess Grace Hospital and HCA, as well as participation in relevant forums to drive continuous improvement.
