A leading healthcare provider in England is seeking a dedicated Ward Clerk to join their Maternity team. This vital role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families in a hospital setting, managing administrative tasks, and supporting expectant parents during crucial moments. Ideal candidates have strong organisational skills and empathy, with some clerical experience preferred, though thorough training is provided. This full-time position requires on-site presence, including day and night shifts.
Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional patient service in a buzzing hospital setting? Our Maternity team are looking for a Ward Clerk to join their vibrant team at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital.
This rewarding, patient-facing role puts you at the heart of our ward, supporting expectant parents during some of the most significant and vulnerable moments of their lives.
You'll provide exceptional costumer service to our patients, their relatives and friends, then administrative support, coordinate admissions and discharges, and handle enquiries sensitively and professionally. Strong organisational skills, empathy, and excellent interpersonal abilities are vital to succeed within this role.
In this role you will be expected to do shift work covering both day and night shifts (8am-8pm / 8pm-8am) throughout the week, including weekends. Please note, this role requires full on-site presence with no hybrid working.
Previous clerical experience, particularly within healthcare, would be advantageous but is not essential. We offer thorough training, a supportive environment, and an opportunity to genuinely impact patient care.
