Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (PE license).
  • 15+ years of engineering experience.
  • 10+ years of management experience.
  • Advanced education (PMP, MBA, CEM, etc.).
  • Experience with budget management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards and engineering best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Job description
Overview

The position is that of a working manager, both performing energy engineering work, as well as building the existing energy engineering department within Environ. Time will be split between field work and home office. Management time will be needed to develop junior staff and on-board new staff and coordinate with other solutions departments and management team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Hire, train, and develop engineering staff as well as conduct performance evaluation and provide feedback
  • Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with other departments to align engineering activities with company goals
  • Develop staff skills and proficiencies, capital on strengths, mitigate shortcomings
  • Manage engineering budgets and resource allocation
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies and processes
  • Lead the team to identify non-lighting electrical and mechanical (all fuels) energy efficiency measures through site visits and analyses.
  • Measures will be developed into outline plans and specifications for projects or the management of outside consulting engineers for detailed plans and specifications.
  • Building modelling and performing calculations of energy savings
  • Generate technical reports and proposals that include cost, savings, utility incentives, potential tax benefits, as well as payback, ROI and cash flow calculations.
  • Properly price and ensure margins are maintained
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (PE license )
  • 15+ years of engineering experience
  • 10+ years of management experience
  • Advanced education (PMP, MBA, CEM, etc.)
  • Experience with budget management
