About Our Client

Our client is a leading international financial institution with a strong presence across Europe, known for its structured lending expertise and collaborative culture. The organisation is expanding its Joint Venture footprint and is investing in talent to support the growth of its European leveraged finance platform.

Job Description

As Vice President, you will support the management of existing and new Joint Venture programmes within the wider Structured Finance arm. This is an opportunity to apply your leveraged finance expertise in a strategic, cross‑functional setting with exposure to legal documentation, credit analysis, and structured lending. You will be the first VP hire in a newly created role, shaping how Joint Venture programmes are managed across a growing European leveraged finance platform.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting detailed credit analysis of transactions and preparing credit submissions for new transactions, amendments, waivers on exiting accounts, and re‑financing opportunities
  • Handling programme‑level amendments and negotiations with internal credit teams and external Joint Venture partners
  • Preparing regular and ad hoc reporting for senior stakeholders and Joint Venture boards
  • Collaborating with legal, tax, and operational teams during programme setup and execution
  • Occasionally supporting asset‑level credit analysis and deal reviews
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to broader department projects
  • Building strong relationships across internal departments and external programme partners
Qualifications

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong experience in European leveraged finance, ideally from execution or portfolio management
  • Deep credit analysis skills, including financial modelling and interpretation of legal documentation
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities, with a collaborative mindset
  • Interest in programme structuring and legal mechanics; securitisation exposure is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and mentor junior colleagues
  • Familiarity with stakeholder engagement across credit, operations, and external partners

The ideal candidate would have a strong legal insight, or perhaps studied law at university before moving in to Leveraged Finance and wishes to lean on that exposure more in a Leveraged Finance environment.
