Job summary

A healthcare charity in Bradford is seeking a Volunteer Hairdresser to provide hairdressing services to patients in hospice care. This part-time role requires a qualified hairdresser or barber who can offer comfort and dignity to patients. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Volunteer Hairdresser Marie Curie Hospice Bradford

Availability : Any weekday between 10 : 00 and 15 : 30

Were looking for a qualified Hairdresser or Barber to join our team and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

By offering your time care and professional service youll help patients feel comfortable confident and cared for - bringing a little joy and dignity to their day through something as simple and powerful as a haircut.

If youre passionate about people and want to use your skills to brighten someones day wed love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Provide hairdressing / barbering services to patients at the hospice
  • Liaise with staff to identify patients who would like to use the service
  • Offer friendly conversation and a listening ear
  • Keep the salon space clean tidy and welcoming
  • Flag any wellbeing concerns to staffSupport with other related tasks as needed
