A community-focused charity organization is seeking Companion Volunteers in Scotland to provide emotional support and companionship to individuals nearing the end of life. As a volunteer, you'll engage with those in need, offer your presence, and assist family members. This part-time role allows you to make a meaningful difference in others' lives while gaining a deep sense of purpose and connection. Training will be provided, and volunteers are treated with respect and appreciation.

Become a Companion Volunteer and offer the one thing that matters most your presence.
Whether its sharing stories chatting about life playing some music or sitting beside someone your time can bring warmth comfort and connection to someone who truly needs it. Sometimes just being there is everything.
As a Companion Volunteer youll provide emotional support and conversation help people express what matters most to them share helpful information. You may also support family members or carers both before and after bereavement.
Youll receive full training and ongoing support from the Marie Curie team and youll be joining a community that cares as deeply as you do. Well never ask you to do anything youre not comfortable with.
Were currently welcoming companion volunteers across Fife locations either as a regular visitor in a persons home care home or in hospital.
Youll need to be 18 or older complete a short online application and provide two non-family references.
