We’re a proudly independent VFX studio, known for crafting beautiful, bold work across commercials, music videos, and branded content.

We’re looking for a skilled and proactivePost Production Systems Engineerto join our growing team at Rascal Studio, a London-based creative VFX studio producing high-end work across advertising, sound and music.

As our Systems Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our artists running at full tilt – ensuring infrastructure is smooth, scalable, and secure. You’ll work at the intersection of creativity and technology, maintaining the backbone of our infrastructure while supporting an incredibly talented team of artists and producers.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Support andmaintain studio infrastructure, including workstations, servers, storage (NAS), and networking.
  • Work with artists to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across VFX tools (Flame, Nuke, Houdini, Maya, Adobe CC, etc).
  • Maintain render farm and queue management systems (Deadline).
  • Monitor system performance and ensure backups, disaster recovery, and security protocols are in place.

What We are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a post-production or VFX environment (advertising or episodic ideal).
  • Knowledge of Linux and macOS administration.
  • Familiarity with VFX and editing software: Flame, Baselight, Nuke, Houdini, Maya, Adobe CC, etc.
  • Experience with render farm management (Deadline) and storage solutions (Qumulo and Synology).
  • Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and comfortable balancing support with longer-term development.
  • Scripting and automation skills (Python/Bash) a plus.
