A veterinary clinic in New Milton is seeking a small animal vet to join their friendly, family-run practice. The role involves providing first opinion care, with a structured consult schedule and collaboration with a skilled team. Offering a competitive salary of up to £70,000, 5.6 weeks holiday, and no out-of-hours work, this position is ideal for confident graduates or experienced vets looking for variety in their cases. The practice is well-equipped and situated in a beautiful area near the beach and New Forest.
Due to continued growth at New Milton Vets for Pets, we are pleased to say we have an opening for a small animal vet for our friendly, family run practice.
New Milton Vets for Pets is a well-established practice standards’ accredited clinic, partner owned for 9 years; flourishing with a wide variety of interesting medical and surgical cases, a fantastic well-established team and great clients.
You’ll be working alongside practice owners/vets Kevin and Annemiek, as well as an outstanding close-knit team of 4 experienced nurses. Our clinical team is also supported by equally brilliant VCA’s, a welcoming team of 5 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager with a certificate in Mental Health First Aid.
The practice itself offers a lovely bright and airy environment to work in with all the equipment you’d expect from a solid GP practice. In addition to 4 consult rooms/x-ray, we have a theatre, large reception and prep areas, separate kennels & cattery, and a kitchen/colleague space.
Our days are structured well with 15‑minute consults as standard, with longer given for more complicated cases or for graduates. We will be very happy to hear from confident graduates and vets with solid all‑round experience, as this role will offer a good variety of first opinion work.
With no out‑of‑hours or Sunday work, we are happy to be flexible with rotas to accommodate your preferences, and we are open to discussion of full or part time contracts for the right candidate. Our vets work 1:3 Saturday mornings only on a rota.
We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference, so if you meet our role requirements, we’d love to hear from you.
