Responsibilities

  • Run consults with confidence, communicating treatment plans clearly.
  • Perform routine and some advanced soft‑tissue surgeries.
  • Interpret diagnostics (digital X‑ray, ultrasound, in‑house lab).
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to deliver outstanding inpatient care.
  • Contribute to a positive, learning‑led practice culture.

Skills

Strong communicator who builds rapport quickly with clients and colleagues
Calm decision‑maker with solid surgical and medical skills
Comfortable with routine imaging and point‑of‑care diagnostics
Team‑oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Organised, reliable and proactive in a busy first‑opinion setting

Education

MRCVS registration (or eligibility)
Experience in UK small‑animal first opinion practice
Confidence with routine surgery and consults
Further certifications or desire to pursue them
