Responsibilities

  • Run consults with confidence, communicating treatment plans clearly.
  • Perform routine and some advanced soft-tissue surgeries.
  • Interpret diagnostics including digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house lab.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to deliver outstanding inpatient care.
  • Contribute to a positive, learning-led practice culture.

Skills

Strong communicator who builds rapport quickly with clients and colleagues
Calm decision-maker with solid surgical and medical skills
Comfortable with routine imaging and point-of-care diagnostics
Team-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Organised, reliable and proactive in a busy first-opinion setting

Education

MRCVS registration (or eligibility)
Experience in UK small-animal first opinion practice
Confidence with routine surgery and consults
Further certifications or a desire to pursue them
