Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience working as a veterinary physiotherapist.
  • Membership of ACPAT, IRVAP, NAVP or registration with AHPR or RAMP.
  • Hydrotherapy experience or training (desirable).

Physiotherapist (Maternity Cover) - Fixed Term Contract

Start Date: 2nd March 2026
Contract Length: 13 Months
Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
No weekends, no bank holidays, and no out-of-hours

We are proud to deliver exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients, and we are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Physiotherapist to join us for a maternity cover position.

About the Role

As part of our established Physiotherapy team, you will work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary hospital environment. You will engage closely with our Neurology, Orthopaedic, Pain Clinic and Primary Care services, as well as our wide range of support teams, to deliver the highest standards of professional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services for referred and primary care clients, managing your own caseload.
  • Carry out physiotherapeutic assessments and design tailored treatment plans to support patient recovery and wellbeing.
  • Deliver hydrotherapy services (training can be provided if required).
  • Meet CPD requirements in line with your governing body and the Hospital’s CPD framework.
  • Promote a positive, dynamic and collaborative culture within the Hospital, supporting wider engagement with the veterinary physiotherapy profession.
  • Support the clinical development of veterinary nurses, trainees and other hospital team members.
About You

You will bring professional confidence, compassion and a commitment to excellence in patient care. The successful candidate will have:

  • A BSc (Hons), MSc or PgDip in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working as a veterinary physiotherapist.
  • Membership of ACPAT, IRVAP, NAVP, or registration with AHPR or RAMP.
  • Hydrotherapy experience or training (desirable, but training can be provided).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a large multidisciplinary team.
  • A professional approach and dedication to maintaining high clinical standards and upholding the code of conduct of your professional body.
