Job description

We have a rarely available opportunity for a Part Time Veterinary Surgeon to join a first opinion small animal veterinary practice in the Luton area of Bedfordshire.

• Part time hours are worked on Mondays and Fridays with 1 in 4 weekends on a rota and no OOH.
• Practice is purpose‑built with state‑of‑the‑art equipment; tonometry, ultrasound, K‑laser, digital x‑rays, etc.
• Varied caseload includes a wide range of surgical cases with occasional orthopaedic cases.
• Role requires experience in practice, good routine surgical and medical skills, and confidence in working some sole charge.
• Join a growing team of 4 veterinarians, including a certificate holder in ophthalmology.
• Individual interests and additional certifications are encouraged and supported.
• CPD allowance and paid RCVS, VDS fees.
• Fantastic Bedfordshire location with good transport links, easy access to Cambridge, Milton Keynes, and London (London Luton Airport nearby).

Person Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
• Registered with the RCVS.
• Good routine surgical and medical skills.
• Some sole charge at weekends.
