Job Introduction

Vehicle Technicians - New Pay Plans

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting Vehicle Technicians to join the Listers Group across Solihull, working with brands such as Audi, Honda, Land Rover, MG, OMODA & JAECOO.

Our packages and new pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset. Basic salaries start from £30,000 up to £45,000, with bonuses/OTE ranging from £32,700 up to £55,000.

Role and Responsibilities

Technicians are responsible for servicing, repairing, and diagnosing vehicles in the workshop, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard on the first attempt. Responsibilities include electrical and mechanical repairs, such as suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.

Additional duties may involve repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems. You will be able to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment, understand Customer Satisfaction's importance, and operate systems like video reporting (e.g., Citinos). You will also complete all service paperwork according to manufacturer and brand standards, working closely with the workshop team to share knowledge and learn continuously.

About You

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds with experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician. Whether from an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket, or main dealer, we want to hear from you.

You should hold or be working towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. You must have the right to live and work in the UK and hold a full UK Driving Licence. Demonstrating good mechanical and electrical knowledge and a commitment to high standards is essential, and we offer training and facilities to support your career growth.
