The Role:

We are delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent family-run garage based in the Melksham area, in their search for a Vehicle Technician to join their experienced and friendly team. This position would suit a confident and capable technician who enjoys working across a wide range of vehicles, thrives in a close-knit team, and takes real pride in their work.

Responsibilities
  • General servicing and repair work across all makes and models
  • Mechanical repairs including clutches, brakes, suspension, and cooling/heating systems
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis using tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Supporting the service team with repair recommendations and job updates
  • Test driving vehicles to confirm faults and verify repairs
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to workshop processes
  • Contributing to a tidy, efficient, and well-organised workshop environment
About You
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an automotive technician role
  • Confident diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of vehicle systems
  • Comfortable using diagnostic tools and basic electrical repair knowledge
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
  • Full UK driving licence essential
Package & Benefits
  • Basic salary between £28,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
