Overview
Vehicle Technician – Sheerness, Kent - £30k - £35k + excellent benefits. The ideal candidate will have a good mechanical and electrical aptitude and a passion for working with vehicles / plant machinery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake checks, and tyre rotations.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Repair or replace faulty components using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working in the workshop.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and quality.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail when diagnosing issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers when required.
