Job Title: Automotive Technician  Location: Kenilworth  Salary: Competitive – based on experience and passion  Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm  Holiday: 28 days annually

About Us

We are a specialist mechanical workshop dedicated to the restoration of Alvis cars dating from 1920 to 1967. Our work is both fascinating and rewarding, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern precision. With fully equipped facilities including engine and chassis dynamometers, we pride ourselves on delivering restoration work of the highest quality.

Our team is small, skilled, and passionate about classic engineering. We’re now looking for a like-minded Automotive Technician to join us in preserving automotive history.

The Role

As an Automotive Technician, you’ll be working hands-on with vintage vehicles, diagnosing faults, rebuilding engines, and restoring systems to their original glory. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of five technicians, collaborating to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver exceptional results.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of traditional petrol engines, especially carburettor fuel systems and distributor ignition systems
  • Experience in fault-finding and diagnostics on vintage vehicles
  • Engine building expertise
  • Understanding of traditional electrical, transmission, braking, and suspension systems
  • Problem-solving skills rooted in sound engineering practice
  • Team spirit and the ability to work collaboratively
