Car Technician / Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician (Gloucester)

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £37,440 basic DOE. OTE £48,(Apply online only) per annum

Hours: 40 hours: 06:00-14:30 / 13:30-22:00 Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Car Technician / Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician to join a busy dealership in Gloucester. You will carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road. This is a great opportunity to work with premium vehicles, gain manufacturer training, and develop your career with structured appraisal and progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform major and minor repairs to cars
  • Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and assist with repair planning alongside the team
  • Maintain accurate workshop records and complete relevant documentation
  • Provide high-quality, safe, and compliant repair services
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant workshop environment
Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI)
  • Experience performing diagnostic and service repairs on cars
  • Ability to identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes

Desirable

  • Experience with luxury or premium car diagnostics
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
