Overview

Join the VAT team at RSM UK. Our VAT specialists work closely with colleagues across the firm to provide a joined‑up service to a diverse range of clients, from middle‑market businesses to large corporations, combining expertise in accounting, audit and all relevant taxes.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and advise on VAT planning opportunities and undertake specialist technical assignments.
  • Identify, interview and convert prospective clients and assist other departments in researching and preparing formal proposals for new work.
  • Serve as the principal point of contact for clients on VAT queries and work closely with partners, directors and associate directors to manage a client portfolio.
  • Develop an advanced level of technical knowledge through personal development opportunities.
  • Collaborate across service lines to proactively seek opportunities to generate new business in the region.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Preferably CTA or ATII qualified, or equivalent, ideally with an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
  • Proven experience in client handling and project management.
  • Proven tax experience in producing high quality work within budget.
  • Proven indirect tax experience and effective team leadership skills.
  • An interest or aptitude for business development.
