Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Sales Controller / Manager in the Sittingbourne Area, UK. This role involves leading a five-person sales team and driving performance within a high-performing used van operation. The ideal candidate will have current experience as a Sales Controller or Sales Manager, ideally within commercial vehicle sales. An attractive OTE of £50,000 - £70,000 is available, alongside long-term progression and stability in a respected organisation.

Qualifications

  • Current experience as a Sales Controller or Sales Manager (not a step‑up role).
  • Background in commercial vehicle sales; VAG group experience advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication and coaching skills.
  • Confidence in appraising and purchasing used stock.
  • Proven commercial awareness and results‑driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of five sales executives.
  • Drive performance across used van sales.
  • Support and oversee daily sales activity.
  • Participate in stock buying and valuation.
  • Maintain high standards of process compliance and customer experience.
  • Work closely with senior management to deliver commercial objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Controller / Manager to take the lead within a high-performing used van operation. The successful individual will join a well-established well-resourced business with a strong reputation in the commercial vehicle sector taking full responsibility for driving team performance, shaping the sales process and influencing stock strategy. With direct leadership of a five‑person sales team and close collaboration with a senior manager this role offers genuine influence, stability and long‑term progression within a respected organisation.
