An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part‑time receptionist to work within the Urgent Treatment Centre at Weymouth Community Hospital. This post is an 18 hour permanent position and follows a 4 week rolling shift pattern, working between the hours of 0800 and 2000, 365 days a year.
You must have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working in a busy environment, handling enquiries from patients, relatives, and clinical colleagues face to face, by email, and over the phone.
You will be responsible for booking patients on arrival and updating health records using electronic systems. Duties include filing patient data, arranging appointments, processing referrals for patient pathways, emailing, and supporting discharge letter production and distribution.
The team also maintains local standard operating procedures, manages purchasing, collects data, and carries out general office tasks.
