Job description
The Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across various year groups, helping children engage, progress, and feel confident in school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in class under the guidance of the teacher
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support when required
  • Assist in delivering engaging learning activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour and build pupil confidence
  • Help with classroom setup, resources, and general daily routines
  • Support pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
  • Experience working or volunteering with children/young people within the last 2 years
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Good communication skills and a genuine interest in education
Desirable
  • Experience in roles such as coaching, tutoring, youth work, mentoring, childcare, or similar
  • Experience working with SEND (not essential)
