Overview

Role Title: Senior Learning and Development Officer (SLO)

Role Nature: Volunteer

Location: Home-based

The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is an international think-tank supporting and advocating the application of blockchain technology in the global fight against climate change.

We are looking for a passionate volunteer who takes a strategic approach to their work, builds professional relationships with stakeholders, and generates opportunities for the organisation development.

Responsibilities

• To assist with the curating and/or creating of Capacity Building material for the Institute
• To create Learning and Training opportunities for the volunteers
• To deliver training initiatives to fulfil the training needs identified within the Institute
• To provide regular administrative support for the learning and development functions
• To assist in the coordination of BCI learning and training sessions

General & Specialist Knowledge

• Strong interest in topics central to BCI, such as climate change, climate finance and blockchain technology
• Proven experience as an L&D Manager, or Training Manager, or similar
• Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Excellent communication skills

Selection Process

As a voluntary organization, we open the door for candidates who may not have prior experience. To recruit the most suitable candidates, we also consider inexperienced applicants who can demonstrate the skills required in the written assessment. Candidates will typically complete the following assessment:

Section A: Verbal and Numerical Reasoning (20 multiple-choice questions)

Section B: Situation Judgement Test (20 multiple-choice questions)

Section C: In-Tray Exercise (an open-ended assessment relevant to the duties of the role)

Candidates who pass all three sections will be invited to attend a phone screening, first interview, and final interview online.
