The ultrasound department offers a range of work including early pregnancy, obstetrics, Nuchal Translucency scans, gynaecology, subfertility, transvaginal and Doppler ultrasound. Applicants must hold a Certificate in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent qualification) and have experience in the mentioned scanning techniques to a high standard.

The ultrasound department is bright and modern with nine ultrasound rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art GE ultrasound equipment. The department is fully linked to PACS.

To be an effective member of the Ultrasound team, providing a high quality ultrasound service to both doctors and patients. To carry out and monitor all aspects of work in the Ultrasound Department and to provide an effective service within the procedures and guidelines agreed with Consultants and Departmental protocols.
