As a Buyer joining the Central Buying team, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to deliver exceptional value, quality, and service to our customers. This is a unique opportunity to influence supplier relationships, drive profitability, and help shape the strategic direction of our purchasing operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating cost-effective deals, and ensuring our product range meets customer and business needs. Your work will directly impact our bottom line and contribute to our long-term success. You will work 3 days per week from home and 2 days at the site closest to your home address.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage strong supplier partnerships across the UK and EU
  • Negotiate best-in-class product costs, terms, and routes to market
  • Lead monthly pricing reviews and tender management processes
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Directors and Sales Directors to identify new product opportunities
  • Maintain accurate product and pricing data to prevent margin loss
  • Monitor stock levels, availability, and supplier performance
  • Investigate alternative suppliers and challenge pricing to ensure competitiveness
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless operations
  • Manage imports and customs clearance via our Constellation Cold Store
What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a commercially astute and detail-oriented Buyer with a passion for procurement and a knack for negotiation.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • 4–6 years in a similar Buying role (seafood experience preferred)
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proven ability to build relationships across teams and suppliers
  • Awareness of industry trends and supplier landscapes
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Inco Terms and import processes
